HR Policy sign-off -
The HR Policy add-on is designed to enable users to publish details of HR policies so that employees can indicate that they have read and understood them. Employees access the list of HR policies via their ESS login. They can work through the list, reading each document and acknowledging that they have done so (and this information is recorded within People Inc.).
The feature can be set up so that it publishes different sets of documents to employees working in different roles. When an employee is assigned to a role (job), or a new policy document is added to the system, if an employee needs to read the document they are automatically notified by e-mail.
When a new version of a document is issued, this replaces the existing copy. Once again, employees are notified by e-mail when this happens, and need to log in to the ESS, read the document and acknowledge that they have done so. If they do not do this, the system will send reminder emails.
HR users can report on the record this generates, for example, listing those who have yet to acknowledge that they have read a document.
